This project involved renovating the exterior of a
well-known restaurant in the St. Lawrence Market area of downtown Toronto.
The interior of the restaurant is designed with extensive use of antiques and
classical elements. The owner requested that the exterior be made compatible
with the character of the interior.
The original facing materials were removed and a new stucco façade, with
formed surface mouldings, was added to unify the street face, to create an illusion
of a period building, and to serve as a backdrop for a popular summer patio.
